Programs

Elección Latina: – LUPE works in partnership with CAWP to promote civic engagement and provide training for those wishing to run for public office.  It is a non-partisan program to encourage and train women to run for elected office, position themselves for appointed office, or work on a campaign. Limited scholarship opportunities are available.

Young Latina Leadership Conference: A one-day conference that provides leadership training and workshops to Latinas ages 18-25.  It is an opportunity to hear from other successful Latina professionals in a variety of fields.

Young Latina Leadership Scholarships: Established in 2011 to provide financial support to accomplished young women for their college education. 2016 Scholarship winners have been selected. Statewide Latina Summit:  The first of its kind in NJ, the Latina Summit was established in 2012 and features distinguished women such as Soledad O’Brien.  It serves as a forum for women throughout the state and from all walks of life to gather and participate in educational programs and networking opportunities.
