Daniela C. Velez is a policy professional and economic development leader dedicated to creating opportunities for underserved communities through advocacy, strategic engagement, and public service. She currently serves as Legislative Director for Assemblywoman Carmen T. Morales, where she leads policy strategy, advances legislative initiatives, and supports the Latino Legislative Caucus.
Daniela also serves as Innovation Hub Manager at the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, where she develops workforce development and technical education programs that help entrepreneurs and small businesses grow and thrive.
With experience spanning policy, labor organizing, municipal government, and immigrant rights advocacy, Daniela is passionate about expanding economic opportunity and advancing equitable outcomes. Her leadership has earned her recognition as one of FRNJ’s Top 30 Under 35 Latino Leaders and a 2026 BINJE Rising Star.
Through her work in government, economic development, and community engagement, Daniela continues to build bridges between people, resources, and opportunities that drive meaningful change.
