Peggy Anastos

Peggy Anastos is a trailblazing leader, advocate, and longtime champion for the Latino community. As Chair of the Governor’s New Jersey Puerto Rico Commission, she continues to serve at the highest levels of civic and political engagement, advising leaders on issues impacting women, children, and Latino communities nationwide.

With decades of experience across government, advocacy, and business, Peggy has held influential roles including State Chair of the Democratic Hispanic Task Force, advisor to governors and presidential administrations, and participant on multiple White House committees and initiatives. Her leadership has played a key role in advancing Latino political representation throughout New Jersey.

A Past President of LUPE Fund, Inc., Peggy remains an active and dedicated member of the board, continuing to uplift and empower Latina leaders. Her impact has been recognized through numerous honors, including Woman of the Year and International Woman of the Year.
