Priscilla Garces

Ambassador for Peace, Universal Peace Federation and Women’s Federation for World Peace International

Priscilla  Garces is a distinguished Ecuadorian-American disability advocate, Climate Reality leader, and founder of Always Forward. 

Despite her visual impairment, She earned, with honors, a Bachelor’s degree in Diplomacy and International Relations and a Minor in Latin-American studies/Spanish from Seton Hall University, a professional Certificate of Bilingual Translation from New York University, and a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Leadership/Development from Fordham University. 

Throughout her career, Priscilla has engaged with elected officials, previously serving on the Diversity and Inclusion Council for Governor Murphy and The NJ Women's March steering Committee in 2018. Currently, she is a member of the Board of Trustees for NJ Fund for the Blind Inc., the Union County Advisory Board on the Disabled, the Human Services Advisory Council, the Union Township Mental Health and Disabilities Committee, and a representative member of the Union County Democratic Committee, appointed as 4th Vice-chair.

Her impactful work includes collaboration with the New Jersey Disability Collective in the passage of the "Workability" Legislation in 2022. Due to her history of outstanding leadership and policy work, Priscilla has been featured as #1 in the Insider NJ’s list of the most influential Millennials of 2019 and #79 in the list of Top 100 Policy-makers of 2023. 

She is now an Ambassador for Peace, appointed on behalf of Universal Peace Federation and Women’s Federation for World Peace International, for her noteworthy collaboration in organizing the UN Day commemorative forum at Kean University and other community projects promoting peace, in addition to her disability advocacy work. Her vision of renewed hope is living to lead with purpose, empowering our communities to contribute to a better future.
