New Jersey State Senator is seeking a talented and and highly motivated individual to serve as a Legislative Director.

Prior legislative and/or public policy experience is preferred. The roles and responsibilities for the Legislative Director position are listed below:

• Formulate and track all legislative initiatives and policy matters
• Develop and operate strategy for procuring funding via the state appropriations processes
• Strengthen and maintain positive relationships with key people and constituencies including, Office of the Governor, State Commissioners, statewide legislators, and special interest groups
• Staff and/or represent Senator at meetings and events throughout Legislative District and surrounding areas
• Develop and implement outreach initiatives, events, seminars, etc. geared toward increasing Senator’s visibility throughout Legislative District (proactively and reactively)
• Liaise with constituents and key constituency groups
